Someone more skilled in Cheat-Engine would be able to create a table of this using pointers I think they're called, load the table, open FF13's LR's process and then in the table you could have one setting for vertical and one for horizontal that you just change and it works, I can't do this myself unfortunately as I'm very much a amateur barely capable of changing static values and addresses. With both set you are now good to go and the game is downsampled correctly.įor me 16:9 resolutions display in letterbox whereas 16:10 cover the screen so I think it takes aspect ratio into consideration, might even be compatible with 21:9 "ultra wide" resolutions but I can not test this myself. If the vertical res changes you've found the correct address, if not then just keep changing them until you find the correct one. Search for 1440 (Or what you've chosen for vertical res.) Set it to something else, here I used 1440x768 Search (Make sure it says next value and not new search.) for 1280 Switch the in-game resolution to something else, anything is fine but I used 1280x720
Run the game either windowed or fullscreen (For fullscreen moving the mouse cursor up to the top-left corner will show the menu tabs.) and select 1920x1080 and have the game run at that resolution. Thankfully the game doesn't use anything too special for the values we need so the default options with 4-bit and exact value for searching are fine. Select LRFF13.exe from the process list that pops up. Click the computer icon with a looking glass on it (Should alternate in color too between red and green.)
